What is a Dhikr Counter (Tasbih)?

Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam. A Tasbih (prayer beads) or Dhikr counter is used to keep track of how many times a particular phrase of remembrance has been recited. The Islam Agenda Online Dhikr Counter is a free, digital Tasbih that works on your phone or computer.

Common Dhikr Phrases

  • Subhanallah — Glory be to Allah
  • Alhamdulillah — All praise is due to Allah
  • Allahu Akbar — Allah is the Greatest
  • La ilaha illallah — There is no god but Allah (Tahlil)
  • Salawat (Darood) — Blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

The Tasbih After Prayer (33+33+34)

After each obligatory prayer, it is Sunnah to recite Subhanallah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, and Allahu Akbar 34 times (totalling 100). Set your target to 33 or 34 and use the counter for your post-prayer Tasbih.

How to Use

Tap the large circle button to count, or press the SPACE bar on your keyboard. Use the target button to set your desired count. The counter saves your progress automatically.
