Missed Fasting Tracker

Track your missed Ramadan fast debts (Qada) by reason and monitor your progress toward making them up.

About Missed Fasting (Qada)

In Islam, fasting during Ramadan is obligatory for all adult Muslims. If a fast is missed due to illness, travel, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstruation (Hayd), or postpartum bleeding (Nifas), the missed day must be made up (Qada). This app helps you track those make-up fasts.

Categories of Missed Fasts

  • Illness: Missing a fast due to sickness — requires Qada only
  • Travel: Permitted to break fast while travelling — requires Qada only
  • Pregnancy / Breastfeeding: If there is concern for mother or child — requires Qada only
  • Menstruation / Postpartum (Hayd/Nifas): Fasting is not permitted — requires Qada only
  • Intentional breaking: Eating, drinking, or sexual intercourse → 1 day Qada + 60 days Kaffara (expiation). This app tracks only the Qada portion.

Important Note on Fidya

Elderly or chronically ill persons who have no hope of recovery are not required to make up fasts. Instead, they must pay fidya (monetary expiation) for each day. This app is not designed for fidya tracking.
